Welcome to the Sacrifice The ROOOOOOOOOK website!

This is a website I made, with a lot of help from AI (wanted to try what vibe-coding was about), that uses the Chess.com public API to count how many rook sacrifices a player has across their public games (games shown under your ‘Game History’ in your profile). Simply enter your Chess.com username & hit ‘search for rook sacrifices’.

Currently, the website only counts standard games of chess (Rapid, Blitz, Bullet & Daily), variants, bot & private games are excluded (private games are not accessible by the Chess.com public API).

Possible Future Updates

• Inclusion of bot games when checking for rook sacrifices
• Displaying the games with the rook sacrifices (as opposed to just telling the number of rook sacrifices across games)
